Job Opportunity: Program Coordinator -- Development Policy

The Center for Global Development, an independent, non-profit policy research organization in Washington, DC seeks a program coordinator with strong data and research skills to support senior researchers on program and outreach efforts on a variety of issues, primarily within the Center’s work program on aid effectiveness.
General Responsibilities may include:
- Provide research, writing and editing support for various reports and documents.
- Conduct literature and data searches for research and program initiatives.
- Data management and analysis.
- Organize and participate in meetings/conferences related to research priorities.
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of senior research staff.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in economics or other development-related field, or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and skills.
- 1-2 years work experience is desirable.
- Outstanding communications and writing skills; strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with issues related to development economics, foreign policy, and related topics, and interest in learning from leading researchers in the field.
- Strong Internet, Word, Powerpoint, Excel and data management skills are essential; applicant must be familiar with or willing and interested in learning Stata and Access.
- Ability to work independently and with small groups.
- Pro-active, confident, creative, positive attitude and a sense of humor.
- Ability to speak and read a foreign language is an asset but not required.
Salary:
- $30’s commensurate with experience.
