Ashoka Mody is Deputy Director in the IMF’s Research Department. Earlier, he was in the European Department, where he was most recently responsible for the Fund's relationship with Germany and Ireland. He worked for many years at the World Bank and has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. His academic research has focused on international finance and political economy. [Starting September 1, he will be Charles and Marie Robertson Visiting Professor of International Economic Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University. For more info, see www.amody.com
