Marlaine Lockheed was a visiting fellow at the Center for Global Development from December 2005 to June 2009. At CDG, she worked with former non-resident fellow Maureen Lewis on two books on gender and educations, Inexcusable Absence: Why 60 Million Girls Still Aren't In School and What to do About It and Exclusion, Gender and Education: Case Studies from the Developing World. She left CGD in 2009 to teach at Harvard.
