Matt Andrews is an Associate Professor at Harvard's Kennedy School. A South African, Matt works on issues to do with governance and development. His research delves particularly into questions about how internal and external reforms can facilitate or frustrate the emergence of more functional governments in developing countries. His work is published in a variety of public administration, management and development journals. A forthcoming book (with Cambridge University Press) is titled, "Institutional Reform in Development: Beyond Square Pegs in Round Holes."
