Bolivia, eligible each year since the MCA began in 2004, was not reselected as compact eligible in FY 2009.

MCA Status

Bolivia has submitted a compact proposal to the MCC but formal negotiations on the compact have not begun.  Engagement on the compact was paused due to political, social and economic matters and Bolivia was not reselected as compact eligible for FY09.

Country Eligibility

In the FY 2009 selection process, Bolivia scored above the median on four of six "ruling justly" indicators, four of five "investing in people" indicators, and four of six "economic freedom" indicators.
