On October 25, 2010 the MCC signed a five-year, $275 million compact with Jordan that aims to increase the supply of water available to households and businesses and help improve the efficiency of water delivery, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. On October 17, 2006 the MCC signed a two-year, $25 million threshold program with Jordan. Threshold funds were used to advance reforms developed by the government of Jordan to broaden public participation in the political and electoral process, increase government transparency and accountability, and streamline and modernize the customs administration.
