Kyrgyz Republic

On March 14, 2008 Kyrgyz Republic and the MCC signed a three-year, $16 million threshold program designed to help control corruption and strengthen the rule of law through judicial reform, law enforcement reform, and criminal justice reform.  Some of the expected results of the program included improving the reliability of police services, decreasing pervasive money laundering through banks, and improving scores for the Control of Corruption indicator.  The program concluded on June 30, 2010.  Kyrgyz Republic was originally selected for the threshold program in FY2007.  Learn more about the MCC's threshold program.
