On September 23, 2010 the MCC signed a five-year, $434 million compact with the Philippines. The compact is intended to support reforms and investments to modernize the Bureau of Internal Revenue, expand and improve a community-driven development project, Kalahi-CIDSS, and rehabilitate a secondary national road in Samar province. MCA StatusThe Philippines' compact has not yet entered-into-force. The Philippines completed a three-year, $21 threshold program on May 29, 2009. The program focused on improving anti-corruption efforts by strengthening the Office of the Ombudsman, improving revenue administration, and increasing enforcement capacity within the Department of Finance.
