Initially selected as a Threshold country in 2004 and 2005, Timor-Leste was deemed fully eligible for the MCA in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 selection rounds.

 

 

 

MCA Status

In FY2004 and FY2005, Timor-Leste was selected for the Threshold Program. Timor-Leste was deemed eligible for FY2006, FY2007, and FY2008 compact funding but has not submitted a compact proposal to the MCC.

 

 

Country Eligibility

In the FY 2008 selection process, Timor-Leste scored above the median on four of six “ruling justly” indicators, two of five "investing in people" indicators, and three of six “economic freedom” indicators.
