Ukraine was selected as eligible in the FY 2007 and FY 2008 selection rounds. It was previously selected for the Threshold Program in the 2006 selection process, and on June 16, 2006 the MCC awarded the Ukraine with a 2 year, $45 million Threshold program that targets corruption.

World Bank Involvement

Since Ukraine joined the World Bank in 1992, 33 projects for a total amount of $4.5 billion have been approved.  Current active projects have commitments of $858 million.  World Bank projects have helped Ukraine transition to a market economy, improve primary health care, enhance the involvement of civil society, and increase production of environmentally clean energy.
