"American Electric is the second-largest carbon-dioxide emitter in the U.S., according to the Washington-based Center for Global Development, and the biggest U.S. producer of electricity from coal. Morris said he supports climate-change legislation that would cap greenhouse gases and establish a European-style emissions credit system in the U.S. to help utilities meet pollution targets."
