Abdourahmane Cissé is a Senior Advisor at Lazard, one of the world's preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms, where he supports the firm’s Sovereign Advisory practice, providing strategic financial guidance to governments and institutions worldwide.
He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development (CGD), a Washington-based think tank focused on advancing global prosperity.
Abdourahmane has held, over a decade, key ministerial positions in Côte d’Ivoire, serving as Minister of Budget and State-Owned Enterprises, Minister of Oil, Energy & Renewable Energy, and Secretary General of the Presidency. In these roles, he led transformative economic reforms and played a pivotal role in shaping Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth strategy. His appointment, in 2013 at 32 years old, made him the youngest Minister in the Government of Côte d’Ivoire.
For 7 years, he was a member of the Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), where he contributed to regional integration and the development of the financial market.
Abdourahmane started his career at Goldman Sachs in London in 2005, gaining valuable experience in global financial markets
Recognized for his leadership and impact, he was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2017.
Abdourahmane holds an Engineering Degree from Ecole Polytechnique (X2001, France), and a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics & Management from the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP School – France).
