CARMA 2.0 is here!

This major update of CARMA.org gives you the most up-to-date picture of global power sector emissions, incorporating the latest data on new and planned plants from around the world and improved estimation techniques. CGD research assistant Robin Kraft takes a look at where the power sector is headed in the next decade and finds that we still have a long way to go to reduce carbon emissions. Read more in "CARMA 2.0 has arrived! Power sector still stuck on fossil fuel."

CARMA 2.0 news coverage wrap-up

Articles on the latest update of CARMA.org appeared in India, Taiwan, and the US, where the Washington Post first broke the story. Web and media assistant Ben Edwards collects excerpts of a few stories in "CGD Media Coverage from the CARMA 2.0 Launch."

My thanks to Robin Kraft for his help in preparing this letter.

Best wishes,
