Caitlin McKee led the Commitment to Development Index and the Quality of Official Development Assistance (QuODA) assessment, a leading measure of aid effectiveness. She was based in CGD Europe's office in London. Prior to joining CGD she was responsible for leading large-scale household surveys for impact evaluations and RCTs in Tanzania and Uganda for clients including the World Bank, DFID, USAID, NGOs, and academic institutions. McKee started her development career as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Guatemala working on women's empowerment initiatives. She has also worked as a research assistant on projects for the Agricultural Development Team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the UN Environment Programme Post-Conflict and Disaster Management Branch. McKee holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a certificate in International Development from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. She also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
