Caitlin supports the work of Owen Barder and Theodore Talbot in the CGD Europe office. Prior to joining CGD she was responsible for leading large-scale household surveys for impact evaluations and RCTs in Tanzania and Uganda for clients including the World Bank, DFID, USAID, NGOs, and academic institutions. Caitlin started her development career as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Guatemala working on women's empowerment initiatives. She has also worked as a Research Assistant on projects for the Agricultural Development Team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the UN Environment Programme Post-Conflict and Disaster Management Branch. Caitlin holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a Certificate in International Development from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. She also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
