Claire McGillem supported the research of the Rethinking US Development Policy initiative on a project analyzing country ownership principles in US foreign aid agencies. Before joining CGD, Claire interned for the Transnational Threats Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where she researched transnational militancy across the Sahel and Middle East. She has studied and worked in Rwanda, France, and Palestine on issues ranging from youth development to conflict resolution. Claire graduated from Carleton College in 2013 with a BA in Political Science and International Relations.
