Matt Juden researches evidence quality and is a PhD candidate at SOAS, University of London. As a consultant working with CGD, he has worked on assessing what we know about the cost-effectiveness of mitigation financing in developing countries, and the potential and limitations of blockchain technology.
Previously, as a research assistant at CGD, Matt worked with Vijaya Ramachandran and Matt Collin on research topics including illicit financial flows, large-scale land acquisitions and the impact on remittances of anti-money laundering and counter-terror financing enforcement efforts. Other research interests include social protection, realist evaluation and external validity for impact evaluation. He holds a BA in Philosophy from Cambridge University and an MSc in Research for International Development from SOAS, University of London.
