With the New Year upon us, there’s no better time for rich countries to prioritize their goals for helping to reduce poverty in developing countries in 2009. CGD president Nancy Birdsall offers her wish list of six straightforward policy initiatives that could make life less difficult for poor people in the developing world while also benefiting the majority in high-income countries.
