CGD’s John Gibson Wins New Zealand Economics Award

The New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (NZIER) has awarded CGD visiting fellow John Gibson the NZIER Economics Award for 2008. CGD research fellow Michael Clemens explains the significance of Gibson’s work, praising in particular his research on the impact of New Zealand’s visa lottery on migrants as the best natural experiment in economic research on migration and development.
