Few comforts for Africa in key Obama speech (Africa Review)

Mr Ben Leo, a researcher at the Centre for Global Development, noted on Monday that Congress will this year consider extension of the African Growth and Opportunity Act, a major preferential trade programme.

Mr Leo added that the Obama administration in the coming months "will continue efforts to conclude bilateral investment treaty negotiations with the East African Community."
