Hard Times Call for Hard Data: India and UK Will Work Together to Respond

Lest the terrorist attacks in Mumbai entirely obscure good news coming out of India, CGD senior fellow Ruth Levine celebrates an announcement that officials in India and Britain have agreed to work together to strengthen impact evaluation of public welfare programs, particularly for the poor. The move is part of a growing trend toward more and better impact evaluations that CGD has helped to foster.
