This week marks the launch of an expanded web presence, and an international convening of researchers, for CGD's Global Health Policy Research Network (Global Health PRN). The Global Health PRN brings together leading experts in public health, economics and other social science and technical fields to develop original, focused research on high-priority global health policy issues.
The Global Health Policy Research Network brings together 14 academic and research institutions, including some 60 professionals, who contribute to setting research priorities and authoring a series of initiating papers. The papers frame a policy research question, summarize the key literature and recommend an analytical approach to address the question. Working groups, comprised of a diverse set of experts from a variety of disciplines, will then be convened around topics developed in some of the initiating papers.
Currently the Global Health PRN has four working groups actively engaged in policy research.
