What CGD offers instead is something more far-reaching: the assurance that everything CGD does supports change in the global system so that poor people have more opportunities to improve their lives.

By working to change policies, CGD is changing the world. As you can glean from our website and the impacts we have had since our founding in 2001, rigorous research and active engagement in the policy process provide opportunities for remarkable leverage. CGD can change the policies and practices of global institutions; and can fundamentally alter the playing field so that poor people in developing countries will have better and lasting opportunities.
