OF NOTE THIS WEEK

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a report outlining their strategic approach to evaluate the second phase of PEPFAR. The IOM was mandated to conduct this assessment on the progress and impacts of U.S. global HIV/AIDS programs by the 2008 PEPFAR reauthorization act. As part of the operational planning phase, this report emphasizes the approach and conceptual framework for the assessment and evaluation. The actual report will be conducted in fall 2010, with findings and recommendations to be released in 2012.
