Unsurprisingly, Bangladesh's Supreme Court has rejected the last petitions to reinstate Yunus as the managing director of the Grameen Bank.

One thing to watch now is whether the parliament enacts a law to, at a minimum, give the government control of the board. As things stand, 9 of the 12 members are elected Bank members, and could obstruct whatever the government wants to do, including appointing a successor to Yunus.
