Yunus Really Out

Unsurprisingly, Bangladesh's Supreme Court has rejected the last petitions to reinstate Yunus as the managing director of the Grameen Bank.Reuters has the story. Amy Kazmin of FT has a nice article too, behind a paywall.One thing to watch now is whether the parliament enacts a law to, at a minimum, give the government control of the board. As things stand, 9 of the 12 members are elected Bank members, and could obstruct whatever the government wants to do, including appointing a successor to Yunus.
