In this MCA Monitor Analysis Steve Radelet and Mvemba Dizolele address the challenges the new leader of the Millennium Challenge Corporation will face after Paul Applegarth leaves office, including:
- Scaling up the MCC’s activities to match the original vision of the MCC to provide countries with a strong commitment to development with substantial funding for high priority activities to support growth.
- Finding a way to balance increasing the speed of compact approval without compromising country ownership.
