Sarah Jane Staats is quoted in a Politico article about President Obama's Global Development Council.

A blue-ribbon panel President Barack Obama set up to explore reforms to foreign aid programs officially canceled a public meeting it was to hold Tuesday—and then held a closed-door session instead, according to a senior administration official.

"Global Development Council Holds Non-Meeting Meeting," Sarah Jane Staats wrote on the Center for Global Development's Rethinking U.S. Foreign Assistance blog Tuesday. "Most of the council members met this morning with high-level US government officials. The only difference, as far as I can tell, is that the meeting (er, non-meeting?) took place without President Obama and the public."
