Obama and House Committee Shake-Up Signal Sea Change in U.S. Climate Policy

Few expect a breakthrough in the 10-day round of global climate negotiations that kicked off in Poznan, Poland, on Monday. Nonetheless, CGD senior fellow David Wheeler and outreach and policy assistant Joel Meister find cause for hope that the U.S. will act soon on climate in a recent video address by President-elect Barack Obama, in his first round of appointments, and in a leadership shake-up in a key House committee.
