Songtao Duan was a research assistant with the Sustainable Development Finance team at the Center for Global Development, where he focused on Chinese development finance and multilateral development banks. Songtao’s research interests center on politics and economics of development, especially foreign aid in conflict setting. Prior to joining CGD, he worked as a research assistant at Cornell and University of Hong Kong and interned at the US-China Business Council. Most recently, he was a fellow at Cornell’s Emerging Market Program to support the development of the Rwanda Apiculture Information Network Project. Songtao holds a Master of Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) degree from Cornell University, where he was also a graduate fellow at the Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies.
