Speaking in Davos, Kofi Annan draws on CGD research to argue that the global economic crisis should strengthen rich countries’ resolve to support development in Africa. While past experiences show that assistance to Africa suffers in times of trouble, a new report from the Africa Progress Panel makes the case that supporting African development now is essential for a global recovery.
