OF NOTE THIS WEEK
Yesterday UNAIDS launched a six week Prevention Revolution, a social media campaign to renew interest in HIV Prevention in the lead up to World AIDS Day 2010. For six consecutive Tuesdays, UNAIDS will use their Twitter and Facebook sites to launch interactive discussions on themes related to HIV prevention. "The aim is to inspire and encourage people using social media to know more about HIV prevention, as well as to make the keyword (or hashtag as it is known on Twitter) #PreventionRevolution trend on Twitter in as many places as possible on 1 December 2010", UNAIDS explains. This project is meant to complement the prevention revolution work already underway by the recently launched High Level commission of HIV Prevention.
