MCC Releases New Country Status Fact Sheets

Readers may recall our recommendations for enhancing transparency of MCC operations. One component of that transparency agenda -- regular and accessible updates on country operations -- has just been launched by the MCC. Country Status Fact Sheets can now be found on the MCC's website and will updated monthly.I think these country status fact sheets are fabulous. They give the public a snapshot of the status of the compact in all eligible countries -- compact preparation and/or implementation, disbursements (projected and actual), key facts, and expected results. Check out the Madagascar fact sheet -- perhaps it's great due to the fact that it was one of the first compacts approved, thus having more information to present. Well done MCC.
