Rakan Aboneaaj

Rakan Aboneaaj was a research associate with the Sustainable Development Finance team, where he focused on multilateral development bank and development finance institution reform. Prior to joining CGD, he worked as an intern at the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development, and as an analyst at Altman Solon, a strategy consulting firm. Aboneaaj holds a BA in Economics and Middle East Studies from Brown University. In addition, he was a 2020 Fulbright Research Fellow in São Paulo, Brazil, where he studied the economic and social integration of migrants and refugees.
