Sally Zweimueller is a communications manager at the Center for Global Development supporting the education, gender, and US development policy research portfolios, as well as the Latin America Initiative. She has nearly 20 years of experience in strategic communications, research translation, and evidence-informed decision making in reproductive, maternal, and child health, food security, and gender equity.
Most recently, Sally directed communications and knowledge translation for two USAID-funded global health monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning projects across 30+ low- and middle-income countries at the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also led communications for the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program at ICF, directing dissemination and data use capacity strengthening strategies with ministries of health, national statistical offices, and data users throughout sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Sally served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Salima, Malawi. She holds an MPH in Global Health from Emory University and a BA in Anthropology and Psychology with a minor in Photography from Washington University in St. Louis.
