Lena Badr is the digital and social media manager at the Center for Global Development. In this role, she leads CGD’s cross-platform digital content strategy to expand the organization’s global audience and strengthen engagement.
She has more than a decade of experience leading digital communications across multilateral institutions, nonprofits, and international NGOs. Over the course of her career, she has focused on sustainable development, climate resilience, and humanitarian response, with work spanning refugee support, healthcare access, and education. Prior to joining CGD, she led digital strategy and social media for the Climate Investment Funds at the World Bank. She previously worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, where she supported executive communications and led digital strategy and social media for IDB Lab.
