Dagmawit Getnet is an administrative assistant at the Center for Global Development. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2025 with a B.A. in International Studies, specializing in International Relations and Diplomacy, and minors in Spanish and Public Policy. During her undergraduate studies, she gained experience working with international NGOs, including serving as an intern at Counterpart International, where she managed confidential compliance records and coordinated logistics for training sessions across global offices. She supported immigrant and refugee communities through internships at Community Refugee and Immigration Services and World Peace Fair Trade, where she developed skills in client support, event coordination, and cross-cultural communication. She was also a Fulbright US-UK Summer Institute program participant in England, where she focused on migration, inequality, and racial justice at the University of Bristol.
