Liberia

        

 

On July 6, 2010 the MCC and the government of Liberia signed a $15 million threshold program agreement designed to focus on improving land rights and access, increasing girls' primary education enrollment and retention, and improving Liberia's trade policy and practices. Liberia was selected for the threshold program in FY2009.

Country Eligibility

In the FY2011 selection process, Liberia scored above the median on four of six Ruling Justly indicators, two of five Investing in People indicators, and two of six Economic Freedom indicators. Liberia is a low income country (LIC).
