Denise Bonsu is an international development practitioner with over seven years of experience supporting global grantmaking, program operations, research, and cross-functional project coordination within nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Prior to joining CGD, she served as a Program Associate at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, where she supported global grantmaking and program operations for the Global Children’s Rights team. She previously worked at Results for Development (R4D), where she contributed to a range of international initiatives focused on early childhood development, workforce development, and evidence-informed policymaking. Her areas of interest include early childhood development, global children’s rights, and youth development. Ms. Bonsu holds a Master of Arts in International Development and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the College of William & Mary.
