Emily Foecke Munden

Former Research Assistant



Emily Foecke Munden was the research assistant for the Tropical Forests for Climate and Development Initiative and supports the work of Frances Seymour and Michele de Nevers. Prior to joining CGD, Foecke Munden worked in corporate global sourcing, led a maternal health nonprofit in Sierra Leone, and performed program design and implementation for irrigation and water sanitation projects in Kenya. She has previously supported and performed research on forest fire and crime in Indonesia, PEPFAR, and state stability in sub-Saharan Africa, remote sensing image classification methods, and the 2014 Ebola virus outbreak and maternal health. Foecke Munden holds an MA in international affairs from the University of California, San Diego, and a BA in French and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
