Evan Ottenfeld joined the Center for Global Development in November 2022 as press secretary and communications manager, helping advance communications for the Migration, Displacement, and Humanitarian Policy, US Development Policy, Latin America, and Gender teams. Previously, he was the senior communications manager at the US political reform and election nonprofit Issue One.
He also worked in communications at consumer advocacy group Public Citizen. He earned his BA from Indiana University in Political Science and Spanish.
