Jeremy Gaines is a senior communications manager at the Center for Global Development and the communications lead for CGD's sustainable development finance, technology, China, and Africa work. He is also the interim assistant director for communications. He's previously led comms for the US development policy, Latin America, education, and migration, displacement, and humanitarian reform teams at CGD. Before joining CGD, he did communications for the Wilson Center’s Africa Program and worked as a research assistant for a professor focused on African politics. He also interned for the startup digital publisher Byliner and a San Francisco mayoral campaign. Gaines holds a BA in History and Political Science from Northwestern University.
