Julia Kaufman was a policy analyst for Global Health Policy at the Center for Global Development. Before joining CGD, she worked on global health research projects related to frontline health care and health systems strengthening in Rwanda, family functioning and child mental health in Kenya, maternal health and HIV care engagement in South Africa, and life skills interventions in Tanzania and the United States. Kaufman holds a BA in Global Health and International Comparative Studies with a Certificate in Human Rights from Duke University. She is passionate about bridging global health research, policy, and advocacy to eliminate health inequities.
