Janeen Madan Keller is Deputy Director of the Global Health Policy Program and a Policy Fellow at the Center for Global Development, where she leads policy-oriented research focused on the economics of global health challenges. Since joining CGD in 2015, she has published on a wide range of topics including global health procurement, the use of evaluation and evidence to inform programming and policy, results-based financing, sexual and reproductive health, and financing for pandemic preparedness and response. Previously, she worked with the UN World Food Program in Dakar, Senegal supporting nutrition and food security programs across 19 countries in West and Central Africa. She also worked with UNICEF in Mali supporting maternal, newborn and child health programs and conducted research on health behavior change in Niger. Originally from Mumbai, India, she holds an MS in public health nutrition and food security from Tufts University and a BA with honors in political science and French from Vassar College.
