Maria Downey is the Finance & Grants Associate at the Center for Global Development where she supports the Finance and Institutional Advancement Teams. Prior to joining CGD, she worked at Dexis Consulting Group as a Project Associate in the Governance division, where she led financial and operational support for USAID-funded rule of law and anti-corruption projects in Kosovo and Armenia. In her first role at Dexis, she supported the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Division and the Center for Global Security and Stabilization. She has also interned at Razom for Ukraine with the Government Affairs team.
She received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Government & Politics International Relations, and French Language and Literature, with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management from the University of Maryland, College Park.
