Vaccine Certificates: Pam Dixon and Camilla Ravnbøl on the CGD Podcast

June 15, 2021

As vaccination campaigns gear up around the world, talk has turned to the logistics and ethics of providing people with vaccination certificates or, for purposes of travel, vaccination "passports."

How do these certificates work? What challenges do they pose? And how do we make sure no one gets left behind?

These are some of the issues we tackle on this episode of the CGD Podcast, the first since the podcast's hiatus during the pandemic shutdowns.

In the episode I'm joined by Pam Dixon, executive director of the World Privacy Forum, and Camilla Ida Ravnbøl, postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen. Together we discuss what gaps exist in current certification systems and what an ideal system might look like.
