The IMF established the Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST) in April 2022 and five countries now have programs with the IMF under the RST. During this event, panelists will discuss the challenges in putting together the RST-supported programs and the nature of the conditions for lending under the RST. Is it accomplishing its goals of helping countries prepare for a sustainable transition to a low-carbon global economy? What about pandemic preparedness – a second goal of the RST? And what changes might the IMF contemplate as it engages with other countries in RST-based lending? Join us as we explore these questions during this virtual conversation.
