Francis Mangeni is an Advisor on African integration, the multilateral trading system, and development practice. He is currently at the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area as Coordinator of Regional Advisors on the African Continental Free Trade Area. He has been Head of Trade Promotion and Programs with the African Continental Free Trade Area, Director of Trade and Customs with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Government of Malawi, Diplomat and Senior Economist at the Permanent Delegation of the African Union to the United Nations and other international organizations based at Geneva, and Regional Trade Policy Advisor at the Commission of the African Union. He has taught on postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in Uganda and in the United Kingdom. His work has contributed to economic reforms across Africa and assisted Africa’s diplomatic agency across the world. Dr Mangeni has a doctorate in International Economic Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
