Kevin Ummel was a visiting senior associate at the Center for Global Development. From 2006 to 2009, he was a research assistant in CGD's Climate Change Initiative and co-developer of the Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA) project. Since then, Kevin has consulted for CGD on the technical and economic prospects for renewable energy in developing countries. His research attempts to integrate the fields of economics, politics, and engineering through computer modeling of complex systems. Kevin lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he is an adjunct instructor in the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program at the University of Northern Colorado. He holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University and a M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester.
