Leah R. Rosenzweig is a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development and Director of the Market Shaping Accelerator (MSA). The Market Shaping Accelerator works to align incentives to shrink the gap between the social benefit and private returns to innovations in global health, pandemic preparedness, and climate.
Leah’s research focuses on understanding the underlying factors that shape political and social behavior, with an interest in how these factors influence policy outcomes. Her current work in the political economy of development explores the role of social norms in voting behavior in semi-authoritarian states, government accountability in developing countries, and inter-group relations. Leah also conducts research on designing and evaluating effective policies to combat misinformation and increase vaccination, as well as developing applied research methodologies. Prior to joining CGD, Leah held positions at the University of Chicago, Stanford University, and the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse, and served as a consultant to the Nigerian government on development policy. She holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
