Asti Shafira is a research assistant with the Global Health team at the Center for Global Development in Washington, D.C. Her work primarily focuses on nutrition financing, antimicrobial resistance, and health system strengthening. Asti graduated with a Master of Science in Global Health and Population from Harvard University, where she also worked extensively as a data analyst on various global health projects. Previously, Asti served as a Health Policy Analyst for the Indonesian Government, where she led the development of public health strategies and managed nutrition program implementation and evaluation across Jakarta, Indonesia. Asti has a BSc in Nutrition from Universitas Indonesia, graduating as valedictorian. At CGD, she leverages her expertise in data analytics and policy analysis to tackle key challenges in global health, contributing to the organization’s rigorous research.
